A Key to the Mysteries of Providence

First, keep in mind the fundamental that God turns the curse into a blessing, Deuteronomy 23:5, Nehemiah 13:2. Those who walk with this God must therefore learn to get profit from their losses. Yes, in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are to claim by faith the working of “all things” for our good, Romans 8:28.

That amazing expression “all things” occurs again in verse 32 where we are told how certain this is, i.e., that God did not even “spare his own Son but gave him up for us all” – in death on the cross. Then we are instructed to expect (through prayer) that God will “also, along with him, graciously give us all things.” (Verse 32)

In our trials and dark periods we are not simply to bewail our darkness, but to employ this truth in our prayers. This is done by reading aloud the verses and repeating them phrase by phrase in thanksgiving and requests.
