WE NEED OUR NEEDS

Scripture does not tell us that God will keep us from all need but rather that God will supply, or meet, our every need, as the situation requires. That very assurance is given us in Philippians 4:19. Furthermore, Paul admits in verse 16 that he experienced much need, but the faithful Philippian believers had sent him aid “again and again.”

Surely, this is the way of God and the way of blessing. Paul testifies, “I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.” (Php 4:11) Now allow the Apostle to share his personal lessons as recorded in this final chapter of Philippians:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Vs. 4

The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything. Vss. 5-6

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Vs. 7

And the God of peace will be with you. Vs. 9

I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Vs. 13

And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. Vs. 19.
