Revelation 3:20

There was once a poor woman who was heavily in debt. She became afraid to answer the door because of the bill collectors.

Now, one day a kind minister went by to help her. He was calling to comfort her and offer financial aid. But when she heard his knock at the door, she hid. She was afraid it was but another bill collector.

How many hide from God when He knocks. The disciples saw Jesus walking on the stormy waters toward them and they cried out in terror supposing that He was a ghost. Many a time we are troubled and distressed by God’s knock at our door. Sometimes we are really jarred by something. We hide. We struggle. We doubt. We fear. And all the while it is but our Lord asking us to allow Him to be Master of our lives. Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door (of your life) and knock, if any man will hear my voice and open the door, I will come into Him.” Revelation 3:20. Are you sure you have recognized God’s knock and prayed that Jesus Chriist will be Lord of all your life?
