A QUESTION TO ANSWER

A QUESTION TO ANSWER  – What more does God have to do in order to convince my reluctant faith that God loves me?!

One has written the following comment on Romans 8:18:  I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.

“God is excited, like a lover with a secret, elaborate plan for His love, to reveal the glory and beauty of His plan and His wonders to me.

Have I forgotten how in love with me God is?”

Again, what more need God do to convince my reluctant faith that God loves me?  Remember John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son.”  To emphasize this point, Romans 5:8 says, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Now study Romans 8:32, “He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?”  Therefore, God is telling us that the death of His Son Jesus in payment for our sin is only the beginning.  There is more!  I Corinthians 2:9 says, “However, as it is written:

‘What no eye has seen,
    what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived’—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—”

In addition, the very next verse explains to us how God provides the Holy Spirit to remove our dullness and help us understand the fullness of God’s abiding, forever-love.
