Have you heard of Gossip Town
On the shore of Falsehood
Bay?
Where old Dame Rumor with
rustling gown
Is going the live-long day?
It isn’t far to Gossip Town
For people who want to go;
The Idleness Train will take
you down
In just an hour or so.
The Thoughtless Road is a
busy route,
And most folks start that
way;
But its steep downgrade–
if you don’t look out,
Will land you at Falsehood
Bay.
But it isn’t healthful at
Gossip Town,
And I will not follow you
there;
I would rather live at Thanks-
giving Street,
In the house that is called
All-Prayer.
For here I learn my Father’s
will,
And the Sun is warm and
bright;
And whatever the Master bids
me do,
I do it with all my might.
