The kneeling figure of George Washington seems far removed from modern-day American leadership. We do not refer to any particular party nor to any individual president, but we find our hearts crying for God to give again such a one in the Whitehouse.

Perhaps many modern leaders do pray. The point is, however, all too few give that impression.

“Lord, teach us to pray!” Next, Lord, grant our prayer for a praying president!
